Suprabakti recently completed the belt installation and splicing of steel cord belt at Freeport Lower Wanagon waste handling project. The work conssist of installation and splicing of BC233 (363mtr), BC232 (607mtr), BC202 (133mtr). The belt width is 84”, ST-1800 and ST-3150 supplied by Veyance Technolgies (Goodyear). All belts come with Goodyear 2000 Sensor Guard to protect belt from longitudinal rip. The splice using Veyance patented “pre-formed splice” materials.
The Supra Heavy Duty belt winder/winch is used as part of the belt installation work. The belt winder is used for pulling and also releasing belt at slope belt.
Shaw-Almex vulcanizer is used for vulcanizing all the belts.
The Lower Wanagon site is located at approx. 4,200 mtr above sea level with average temperature of 10 deg at day time. The unpredictable weather condition at this site make the works even more challenging.
