As manufacturer plan for the future, only those committed to a policy of total customer satisfaction will prevail in the global economy.
Goodyear belting is constantly striving to improve its products and services in an effort to maximize the level of performance provided to its customers. Goodyear's broad range of high quality conveyor belting exemplifiers its commitment.
Proving Flexsteel belts and splices for your next generation designs. Larger and more powerful than the University of Hannover's testing machine in the world capable of proving splice efficiencies over ST8000.
Bringing new products to market faster
Uses throughout our entire development process, finite element alalysis
correlates data to actual manufacturing, processing and field performance
before a belt or splice design is ever attempted. The end result is an
optimized product and a reduced development cycle, allowing us to bring
superior products to the market more quickly.
Pushing technology to test real life satisfaction
A belt ability to endure constant flexing is critical to its success.
That's why Goodyear introduced this advanced testing system which tests
rubber to steel cord adhesion integrity.
Goodyear Conveyor Belt Products continue to demonstrate how we lead the industry in new product development. With the market launch of its new “EasyriderTMTM” low rolling rsistant pulley overs, Goodyear continues to lead in cutting edge innovations.
Goodyear's goal is to provide products which deliver the lowest cost per tonne conveyed with cost saving and superior performance.
Goodyear produced the world's first steel cord belt in 1942 and today remains at the forefront of steel cord belt innovation. To better service customers worldwide. FlexSteel® belting is produced on seven production lines in five countries on four continent.

| Sensor Guard® Rip Detection System | Due to the destructive forces involved, belt rips are impossible to prevent. However, thanks to innovative Sensor Guard electronic belt protection system, belt rips can be limited. Goodyear's sensor Guard is a proven rip detection system that reduces downtime costs, replacement costs and lost production time. |
| Technical Capabilities | Goodyear's has committed millions of dollars to its state-of-the-art Conveyor Belt Technical Centre. Advanced facilities and equipment enable the research and development team to develop new products, cutting edge technologies and improved quality assurance. Goodyear's aim is to bring unique products to market faster than ever, while consistantly delivering the industry's lowest-cost-per-tonne capabilities. |
| World’s Largest Dynamic Splice Tester | One of the centerpieces of Goodyear's Conveyor Belt Technical Centre is the World's largest and strongest 2-Pulley Dynamic Splice Tester. This impressive piece of equipment enables the Goodyear research and development team to test and verify stronger belt design and longer lasting high tension splices. |
| EASYRIDER™ Low Rolling Resistance Pulley Covers | Goodyear's Conveyor Belt Products continue to demostrate how the company leads the industry in new product development. With the market launch of the new EasyRider low rolling resistance pulley covers, Goodyear's continues to lead in cutting edge innovations. Providing products which deliver the lowest cost per tonne conveyed is Goodyear’s goal, resulting in cost savings and superior performance. |
| Certification Folder | Goodyear's reputation is riding on your belt. Therefore, every FlexSteel belt manufactured in any of the company's five plants world-wide is supplied with a quality assurance certification folder. The folder contains specifications and testing data signed by a Goodyear Quality Assurance Associate. |
| Red HandBook for Conveyor and Elevator Belting (CD-ROM) | The Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Company's Handbook of Conveyor and Elevator Belting is the longest running belt conveyor technical publication in the world. First Published in 1921 and upgraded numerous times, this world renowned reference has been used by engineers in all fields of bulk material handling around the globe. Now available in a digital format, it has become even easier to use and an even more valuable reference and design tool. |
| Belt Analysis Software | Goodyear's alliance with Conveyor Dynamic, Inc. (CD1) pays dividends for its customers by providing effective material handling solutions. Part of this success is due to CDI's BELTSTAT conveyor design program. |
| Goodyear Belt Scanning System | Have you ever wanted to know the true condition of your FlexSteel belt? Goodyear's Belt Scanning System allow you to do just that. Goodyear's Scanning uses proven, advanced technology to provide comprehensive, user friendly colour graphics of every splice, as well as cord condition throughout the belt. |
Snubs are defined as having 150mm or less belt contact and tension less than 50% of belt rating. Pulley sizes for FlexSteel belts are determined by face pressure on the pulley and/or pulley to cord diameter ratio.

Excellent Fastener Holding Retention | High Strength nylon fill cords enhance mechanical fastener holding ability and resist fastener pull-out for reliable performance and increase uptime. |
![]() |
Excellent rip, tear and impact resistance | Specially designed crimped warp cords straighten on impact and the recover their original shape. This enables the fabric to absorb greater impact loads and resist tearing for long lasting durability and lowest cost-per-tonne conveyed. |

High Ultimate strength | Pylon withstand severe tension spikes at start-up, retains mechanical fasteners and withstands continuous flexing around pulleys. This higher ultimate strength makes a critical difference in abusive conditions. |

Reduced stretch | The combination of fabric design and dip process provides less elastic and permanent elongation on all specifications. This minimizes take-up concerns and reduces the number of splices at break-in. Contact your local Goodyear representative to calculate permanent and elastic elongation requirements for your specific systems. |

Standard bias step splices | A quick and effective technique, step splices greatly reduce downtime and are recognized throughout the industry as the standard. The vulcanized splice in Pylon retains 100% of belt tension rating during all running conditions. |
